Messy feeder

Howdy everyone
Just seeing if anyone has any recommendations on chicken feeders they’ve bought or made from home. My
Chickens make an absolute mess it’s driving me crazy cause it’s wasting so much food. Picture attached below
Does anyone else’s chickens do the same as far as making a mess of their food?

I would raise that feeder to just above the height of their backs it helps from pecking/scratching all the feed out.

Most birds do a lot of billing feed out of feeders always a task to keep from wasting feed.

I use to have the same problem until I hung my feeders! It definitely works.

3rding or fourthing elevate the feeder, and for us, i put a big rubber pan under, it catches what they bill out and they tend to perch on that rather than trying to sit on the feeder itself. you can get anti perch cones for on top which also helps prevent it getting knocked over so easy.
