So I was browsing for golden pheasants with good genetics and I came across Murray Mcmurray hatcheries and wanted to know if the pheasants they sell are pure or not

They should be "pure" and breed true. I didn't see golden on there..

Still, hatchery quality is hatchery quality.. buy a bunch, select the best and eat or sell (or compost, etc) the rest. Noting that's my sentiment about most "alleged" breeders as well... good genetics won't just happen in every bird.. Selection is still required on the part of the keeper.. if that is their goal. Good genetics means hard culling in every generation and cannot *usually* be done without growing out.. just my opinion.

Hoover's also has a few choices with what looks like smaller order numbers..

I tried to see if golden was term for the ring necked.. and I don't think they are the same variety, at least according to the information and pics seen in the following link (also other sources indicate the same)..

Golden Pheasants are most definitely not the same as Ring Necked. Meyer Hatchery looks like they have pairs of Golden Pheasants for sale.
