I have my 1/2 acre back yard fenced into 4 sections (geese/ ducks&chickens/ dogs/ extra) ..... The extra sction used to be for ducks but my neighbors have very loud cars & motorcycles they tinker with right near that section so I use it as extra only. It Has my original first coop that is an old prefab and over te last 7 years I kept remodeling and adding more boards to make it secure so now what a mess! but I was still using it for just the 2 chickens until the %&$! lice became impossible to clean out of there.
.....The geese have the grassy section and they sleep in a garage addition attached to my home.
.....The ducks have a beautiful Amish playhouse 8x6 that I ventilated and skirted and made predator proof in their section
.....The chickens are misplaced right now because I bought them a lovely very sturdy coop but so far have only been able to get it in to goose territory in the back. I need help t move it into duckland (where it will be staying)... it's 500 lbs)

So yesterday I see the lice are back and so I dipped my hens in permethrin. and then later at sunset I put them in the new coop. This morning I have to get them out and take them to the duckland area for the day. THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO ACCESS THEIR NEW COOP TO LAY EGGS.
IDK what they will do and where they will lay their eggs, maybe in the duckhouse? They have been in there before and it's accessible, so maybe.
Next week I will have help to move the new chicken coop up the hill out of goose territory.
... but for this week I will be catching the chickkens and placing them in it at sunset each night.

They were trying to get to the old coop all morning but it’s closed they even flew over fences to get to it so I put a temp cardboard nesting box near it , right at the door where she kept trying to get in. and one of them laid her egg there . Poor baby doesn’t understand why I won’t let her in old coop and they can’t get to new coop during day either… here’s new coop in goose territory and here’s the box with egg in nest by old coop. I’m also adding more ventilation to new coop it only has one window in the back side .
