Hello everyone! I am new here and this is my first time raising chickens EVER. We got 4 chicks from a local tractor store just about 4 weeks ago. The chicks that they had were " hatchery's choice" so we have no clue what we have got. I took this overhead pick of them back on March 19th so they were maybe 3 ish weeks old here? And the second picture is from today, so maybe 5ish weeks. Any clues as to what I got? Breeds? Genders? Everything is a mystery. 😂

Edit:. I was able to get close ups of two of them. Colonel and Chickadee.

Not sure about breeds, but the one with a red comb and speckled grey/white pattern is DEFINITELY a cockerel. The rest look female to me

So from the second picture, it looks like your barred chick is a little rooster. Have zero idea on the ducklings, but the other three seem to be pullets. If they'll let you get individual shots of each of them and this community can see leg color and comb type- you'll get great ideas of what you have!

Thank you. I will try to get individual shots in the morning.

Chickadee looks like a little Easter Egger pullet. Her greenish legs, and pea comb point in that direction. I personally think the black and white EEs are very pretty, no two alike!

The two grey females in the second pic are "Blue" colored so that should narrow it down a tad. You may have better luck when they're a few months old. Then they should look more like adults and will be much easier to identify.
