New chickens won't roost

We are new to chickens and just have a quick question.
We picked up our first chickens yesterday, 13, 7 week-old Plymouth Rock pullets. My question is, they didn't sleep on the roost last night, they all huddled in a corner. Is it just as they are in a new home, is it my roosts are to high (30" as nesting boxes are 24"). Should i give them something to jump up on to, to be able to make it to the roost until they get bigger or just leave it be for a few days?

I'd say they're a little young to be using the roost. Just give them time and they will figure it out. They're birds, they'll know what to do. Relax and enjoy them.

Yeah, mostly that, they need time to acclimate to the new place.

Might depend on the size of the coop whether or not a ramp might be a good idea....they need landing room to fly down.
Pics of your coop and roost would help here.
You could just set a concrete block there for them to get a 'step up' until they are older.
