New gosling

How do I get my gosling to eat?
I hatched it in the incubator and only one hatched. Do I need to source another chick of some description to show it how?

How old is it? What kind of feed are you using?

for the first couple days goslings are usually still living on their absorbed yolk and don’t really need to eat and might just occasionally nibble it. They do need water.

Other goslings can encourage them to eat, they are really social and like to eat when everyone else does. You can encourage them to eat yourself by sticking your fingers in the feed and fiddling with it.

Gosling and adult geese are very social and pretty much exist in a state of fear and anxiety if they’re alone, they need a friend.
In the mean time you can give them a little stuffed animal and a mirror, that might help calm them.
