Well We did it!! we have 8 new chicks out of 11 in the bator. 2 we had to help out at the last hour. now a week old. When can we introduse them to the outside and the rest of the flock?

not until they're much, much older.

some people say not to let baby chicks go outside in there own pen until they're fully feathered, but if it's real warm out, I just recently(yesterday) started letting pur assortment of 3 8 week olds,and anywhere from 3-1 week old chicks out into a baby pen.


but as for putting them with the adults, i wouldn't chance that until about 9-10 weeks.
