Hi! So recently i bought 3 Wyandotte hen x 1 Roo and 3 brahma hens x 1 Roo.
Three weeks ago i put up a bator with 30 eggs, 15 brahma, 15 wyandotte.
21 days go by, to my surprise, 15/15 wyandottes hatched, 1 had a bit of a hatching problem, but with some help he is back on his feet, good as new.
The bad part only 1/15 brahmas hatched, some were lost during the first 7 days, some were lost at the end, some at the last 5 days, and some at the 20-21 day mark.
The one that did hatch is big, a big chick, but he is so weak, he can barely walk, and he is 4-5 days old, he even has some feather development.
My question is, given the fact that the incubator condition was good, and the wyandotte hatch rate was perfect, could it be that my brahma birds lack something? Like vitamins or something that makes the eggs weak from the start? Should i just buy new birds?
