We are the proud new owners of the world's smallest coop! Yay Us!

To help out with this I have a 6x6 dog run I would like to put a roof and walls on, I would like to use 4x4's in the corners, 5' in back 6' in front so the roof is sloped.

We get about 5' of snow in the yard in winter, can I use cement deck footers on the corners or should I use fence post holders?

Your probably better off using the cement blocks those other things would be a pain to pound in, as for the run you should make the walls you speak of removable so you can get some good air flow in the summer.

I wish they would outlaw those "coops". They do more harm by selling them. The farm stores should know better. How about just enclosing the "run" on that coop and making the whole thing their coop. Pop out the wall that is inside the run so it's one big area.

that's the plan, the "coop" is more just a roost bar / nest box in my eyes.
I want to use "walls" on the 6x6, maybe plastic in the winter open in the summer?
