Hello. I'm in the process of "harvesting" my chickens. I had a supply of 11" x 18" plastic bags in which the birds were placed to go in the freezer but I just ran out and forget where I purchased them from. Can anyone recommend a bag they use? These were NOT shrink wrap bags. Thanks very much!

In a pinch, you can grab some 3 gallon ziploc bags from the grocery store. I think that's your best bet since you're already processing and those are sold pretty much everywhere. Make sure the bags say "freezer" on them though.

I also have used some of Meyer Hatchery's poultry storage bags, which are nice.

A great trick I learned was to use water to "vacuum seal" the bags, without an actual vacuum sealer. It gets a lot of the air out and preserves the meat better. This video shows you how.
