Rolling egg/egg hiding nest box question

I want to get a roll away egg thing so that my ladies are less apt to eat their eggs, plus the eggs will be cleaner and less likely to get stepped on. My coop is similar to the one pictured, and the roll aways I've seen all seem to open in front of the nest instead of behind as I'd need, and seem too big to fit into the set up I have. Therefore, I'm asking for suggestions to add/place inside what I've already got. Thank you.

Roll away nests take extra space from what I have seen.

There are DIY videos that use paint pans and take a bit less room but I don't know if they work as well. I think it would be pretty easy to close the open space above the roll out tray and have the birds enter from the "back" by having that side mounted to your current coops nest boxes where the drop down door is. The tricky part would be securing that collection door against the weather.
