Rooster circling a previous sick hen

A few days ago we removed, what we thought, was egg bound hen. We took her inside and did all the tricks that we were told to do. She never passed an egg but she was pooping and looked better so we put her back in the coop. Immediately my rooster started to circle her. We left her in there because it seemed he was trying to protect her from the others. I figured this behavior would stop since he was perched with her last night. This morning we let them out and he continued to circle her. Any thoughts? Will he eventually hurt her?

Is she your only hen? Roosters do that "dance" sort of, in my words, let the hen know she's his. We have 3 roosters, one who just hangs out with them and two who breed the hens, those two who breed do that quite often. I just take it as the rooster's way of talking to his hen.
