Sand type?

I have access to course stucco sand but cannot find what it’s composed of. Because it’s a course sand, it should be better than the fine masonry sand. Has anyone used it?? Thanks in advance

No, never used sand as we use horse bedding pellets but I do know for those who use sand, the coarser the better. The finer stuff has more dust usually than the coarser kind and coarser is better for their crops than the finer sand.
