Scaly Leg mites on ducks?

My duck is missing a few scales on his legs. Do ducks get leg mites too? How do I treat it? Do I need to keep him from swimming in his pool while he is being treated?

I have never heard of that in ducks.
Can you post a pic? It is likely your duck scraped his leg. Scaly leg mites don't cause the leg scales to fall off, they cause them to lift up as the mites live underneath them.

I wouldn't worry about it unless his leg is bleeding.

Ok, upon closer examination, yes, it looks like he scraped himself on something.
Im glad its not the mites!
