Should I breed my silkie rooster? Pet quality? Advice appreciated!

Yeah I love big fluffy chickens. I’d like to see a standard size bantam silkie get accepted in the states.

He looks somewhat nice all depending on who critiques him. You could breed him with a good hen too. They probably wouldn't be show quality but fairly good looking. Possibly you could sell chicks.

Thank you for the feedback! I ended up getting a better looking roo over the last year, from an egg from a breeder who shows. The difference is really great to see- he isn’t perfect but much closer to sop than this white rooster is.
I still have my white rooster and am now using him for my salmon faverolle/large silkie project. He’s a sweet guy
When not with the faverolles he makes a great older chick pen guardian.
