Silkie hen with strange infection *Graphic pics*

Thanks for the support! I do think it looks better today. She seemed a little stressed this morning after I gave her meds so I just sprayed with the silvaklenz and neosporined her wounds and let her be today. She ate well tonight and seemed more at ease. I’ll soak her again tomorrow and see what it looks like but this it tonight. She always photobombs her own photos, lol.

I worry that there is the infection in the lower leg under the skin and since it’s not ruptured or exposed I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get it out (not want to, honestly). I’m so scared of causing her unnecessary pain at this point.

She is darling.. Please do not give up.. That cheesy material is pus.. Get it out.. It will speed up healing.. Keep up the meds, soaks and TLC.. YOU WILL BE HER ANGEL... I wish more humans were as wonderful as you are.. Bless you for being such a great person.. Hugs to you.
