Silver leghorn laying green eggs?

I bought 2 Silver Leghorns at TSC, and I notice they have green tinted earlobes now that they are about laying age. I have read that the earlobes will determine the egg color, but aren't Silver Leghorns white egg layers? I've been getting some small bluish green eggs recently, but can't identify who they are from. I also have some others that I know lay colored eggs. Any suggestions?

Although ear lobe color does not determine egg color (silkies are a good example) They can be linked. Silver leghorns to the best of my knowledge should have white earlobes. The earlobe color indicates that some EE or similar bird has been mixed in to the leghorns. It is likely that the supposed leghorns are where your green egg is coming from.

The earlobes on my crested cream Legbar hen are white, but changed greenish, yellow when she wasn't laying due to molt.
