Someone found what I believe to be a pheasant chick on the road today. They said there was more in the area further ahead but this one was just on the road. Someone else told them they had been running here for hours.
They brought it to me assuming I knew what to do.

I’ve put him under a heat plate offered water and food (a quick Google search said the same starter food I have for my quails is good)

But I have no idea what to do. I don’t know anything about pheasants. And I don’t want this chick alone. I can go to the area in a few hours to check if there’s more chicks and/or a mother around. Do I try to reunite the chick? Do I try to get more chicks?

Near the area there is a gun club so I’m thinking the nest was probably disturbed and the mother was probably trying to move her chicks? Maybe something happened to her but these chicks would of then had to cross a road alone which I think is unlikely.
The chick is very young just fluff no feathers.

Can you post a picture of him? He could also be a turkey chick.

Look and see if you can find anymore chicks. I don't think it is very likely but you might.
You could try calling a rehab and see what they say.

This is him
