Why do my chicks fall asleep when I turn them on their backs?

I dont know why yet, but it will kill them after a while, I found plenty of dead chicks in the brooder were they flipped on there backs during the night and couldn't get backup right and died from it.
it will kill grown chicks as well as ducks and geese.

It only happens with the smallest ones. Is there something wrong with them?I never had bantams before. they are so small
