So Barred Rocks just grow fast?

This whole time I’ve assumed I’ve got a girl and still do think that but the comb and wattle are already red and legs are big. Is it in fact a girl or is it a boy? Do they just grow faster? 8 weeks old today.

Feather patern says girl but the comb looks awfully red for an 8 week girl. It could be a black sexlink cockerel.

Cockeral. The comb and wattles look to big and red for a pullet. Saddle feathers grow in at about 10-12 weeks

My barred rock grew at the same rate as the other breed pullets and at 15 weeks doesnt have a comb or waddle nearly as big and dark as yours. I’m guessing that’s a boy. Maybe not pure?

They were eggs sold to me as Easter Egger and death layer mix but seems to be more of a barnyard mix.

Easter eggers are mixes already so you're correct
