Sprattle leg doesn't seem to be correcting with the tape? What am I doing wrong?!!!!

I have 1 chick out of 4 that has strattle leg. I have tape between the legs making them underneath of it just like the other chicks legs. Sometimes he gets the tape off and he still walks with his legs out to side. It seems like one leg is really far out and weaker than the other one. The tape has been on there since Monday so about 4 days now. Is it because it has just not been long enough, or? This is my first time, Help!!!!
