Sunburn- any remedies?

Hi all! I got some sunburn today and it really hurts, does anyone have any tips or remedies to share? Thanks!- chickenlover98!

I thought I read somewhere where vinegar or milk is supposed to take the sting out of it. I second aloe though!

Cider Vinegar will take the sting out of it. I LOVE that Ocean Potion stuff with the aloe and lidacane in it myself! That analgesic works wonders and the aloe heals you up pretty darn quick.

Good luck, the worst is the peel.......

Aloe Vera. Cut the plant leaves in half and glob it all over the burn.

or, go to Walgreens and find the highest concentrate of aloe that they have.

Aloe vera, honey (recently discovered that one), calendula oil, St. John's (Joan's) Wort oil (this alao works as a suncreen of sorts to prevent sunburn), or another common way is to make a compress with Chamomile. I grow all of these herbs actually, if you don't have any to make your own oils or compress you might be able to purchase some from a local herbalist or gardener.

Preperation H cream. Takes the burn out, and prevents peeling if applied quickly.

If I don't have aloe lemon juice works too, it takes the burning feeling away but you still might peel.

Using the vinegar one it's really helping! Thx soo much! And I'm not peeling- yet anyway,but keep em coming!
