I'm wondering if there might be anyone who raises Swedish Flower Hens that might have fertile eggs they would be able to ship sometime around March? I am eyeing incubators and rubbing my hands together as New Boots has arranged for a man to come over to begin the construction of coop and run. The person we found is not only skilled in construction, but has been a farmer. Excitement is beginning to build here at One Tree, (what I am calling our new home because that's exactly what we have on our double lot - one small, perhaps seven foot tall shore pine.) Other than that, every bush, shrub, tree, and plant is what we planted last fall so our lush oasis of refuge for chickens and wildlife is mainly a dream at this point. But...chickens! We shall finally have chickens!
