Aw, that’s so sad.
I thought they tested clear?

The three outdoor chickens did, but since the two chicks I got from my friend were the same age as the ones that I got from the farm so I put them all in the same brooder. A terrible mistake that I will never make again!

My rooster is currently sitting in the nest boxes clucking like a hen that’s laid an egg. I’m guessing it’s encouragement lol

Definitely encouragement! We have our first egg today! Goldie lays a lovely mint green egg!

Godfrey surprised me and laid her first egg yesterday. She is a week shy of being 5 months old. A bit early for an Easter Egger. Goldie laid her right on schedule at about 7 months. Brownish-pink egg with white flecks.
