Hello BYC!

This summer, I hatched some eggs from our chickens, one of them really stands out. (Pictures included).

Here are the possible breed combinations she could come from.

Father:
Welsummer (1)

Mothers:
Rhode Island Red (3)
Dominique (5)
Ancona (2)
ISA Brown (4)

(2 of our Dominiques had genetic mutations, allowing for brighter feather patterns or a single comb rather than the typical rose comb)

What traits do you think she inherited?

Dominique's can be split for single comb which mean, they carry only one copy of the rose comb gene.

Your Welsummer ain't a welsummer. He's Black copper(Red Birchen), colored, also has whitish earlobes. More likely a Leghorn mix with something else.

She inherited the rose comb(Dominique mother), & birchen color from the father.

Ah thank you man.
