Upcycled Nesting Boxes - Question

Rethinking this - I'm leaning towards plastic dishpans now that are open with artifical grass liners - easy clean up and rather easy to get.

Thank you for all the feedback - once I started looking at the acutal containers - I worried they'd be too small for our flock of extra large girls to fit into comfortably.
