Hello all! In the past 19 days I’ve been incubating my first batch of duck eggs 6 khaki Campbell eggs that were shipped to me. They can in as decent condition as you can expect. Unfortunately they did have large saddle air cells so I kept the humidity higher to keep them from getting bigger. Now that leaves the air cells being too small for day 19. My question is can I use those air cells to my advantage when they hatch. Is there a certain way to position the eggs so when the ducks get into position to hatch they use the saddle air shapes as the air cell to internally pip into? And out of 6 eggs five are still alive and moving.

I would definitely mark them, and maybe make a tiny hole incase the pip some place else.
The air cells are marked and I’ve been reading on how to assist ducklings hatch because I know with shipped eggs it’s way more likely for them to be in the wrong position.
