Hi all,
Soo just wanting some advice..
I have 2 duck eggs at Day 22 but they have differing issues:rolleyes:
1 was a big egg - 79.8g
The other 65.1g

My problem is that the smaller egg has lost about 15% of its weight
But the big one has only lost 9%

Is it a risk to the little one if I lower the humidity to help the big one??
15% is close to ideal but was worried about taking it too far.

Advice is welcome

Yes it’s a bit risky only cause the little one will not have room to turn
I made the mistake my first time with eggs under 70 and almost all of them needed assisting as they couldn’t turn to get out
Really watch for bruising outside the air cell with the little one
Also ones that did internal couldn’t external still to tight to move
So again watch for time if they can’t external or zip
Mine will be 2 in December
They are just fine with no health issues so don’t worry but be ready in case you need to help

I shoot for 14% loss
Also the little one may try to come early
Watch the egg not the day for lockdown
Shadowing pushing the air cell along the bottom portion
Egg rocking and moving and air cell dipping forward quickly
At that point stop turning that egg
As for the big one continue as he will probably hatch a few days later having more room so he won’t be forced out faster
I hardly use day 25 by the book
I always watch my eggs and go by them anyway
