My husband and I finished the chicken run today (the chix arrived two weeks early, and the weather was awful, and we were in crisis mode as we were making makeshift coops in the house!) But, the coop is finished (pix after we paint it), and we finished the run today, and let the eight babies (8 weeks old) run free today for the first time.
We sat and smoked our pipes and put away way too many bottles of wine as we sat in our camp chairs and watched them catch their first bugs, pull their first worms, explore real greens, take their first dirt baths, and flap their wings in solo flight.
It was WONDERFUL...and the first time my hubby has had chickens. He loved them
Think of the two old guys from the Muppets...lol
