what to feed geese when grass is covered in snow?

Wondering if I can cook some brown rice for our geese while the grass is covered in snow.

How about some lettuce or spinach? fruits and vegetables? Rice, brown or white, really has no nutritional value at all.

When I had geese they had no issues rooting in snow to find what they wanted. Granted I live down south where 2 or 3 inches is rare and shuts the world down.

You should still be feeding them feed daily year round.

Be sure to feed them poultry feed or waterfowl feed. When the ground is covered in snow or ice they need the nutrients their feed gives them.
I also buy romaine lettuce to feed my flock in winter. along with their feed. Just so they can have some greens.

All flock feed or Gamebird grower feed. You could try growing fodder.
