What's going on with the weather?

Here in UK we had an extremely dry autumn, winter and spring. The reservoirs were low, and the 'powers that be' imposed a hosepipe ban in about 5 counties. Subsequently, we have had torrential, almost monsoon rainfall, and the reservoirs are brimming over. We have had flooding in many parts of the country. Crops are only beginning to pick up now, with first too little rain, and failure to grow, and later too much rain, causing rotting. We have had little success in our vegetable gardens this year due to the strange weather. I think on about 30 tomato plants I have 7 tomatoes. Hey Ho!!
