White leghorn 3 week old chicks. Everybody hates leghorns? why?

I don't hate leghorns, but I'm not interested in keeping any because I don't want skittish birds. With bad knees, I'm not looking for anything that runs. I also want the rainbow egg effect and have Houdans for white.

they are very skittish. Nithing like my silkies and ISA browns.

I personally like them and they are very good layers.
If I want.something to pet and sit on my lap I'll get a dog.
However cuddling my 10 newly hatched black copper Marian's, white leghorns and Speckled Sussex chicks is pretty amazing right now

I bought 2 buff orpingtons BUT somehow one of them is a leghorn lol. It was my fault as I picked them out of a bin mixed together. Needless to say my girl butters is SO snuggly and sweet. She is a real mama's girl. Out of the group I have now that are inside growing, barred rocks, buff orpington, red sex link, and one Easter egger, my white leghorn is who loves me most. She is the first to come see me when I visit and she stretches out in my lap for a good snuggle every night.

Everyone is saying that Leghorn chickens are not lap chickens. We have 2 about 4 months old and get in lap and fall asleep. My daughter loves our leghorns, lol.

My leghorn wasn’t skittish at all lol in fact, she was very bold, inquisitive, and friendly. Huge personality.
