Why did I have to confirm my email address again?

I never changed my email address or change anything, and yet Backyard Chickens couldn't send me emails. I had to confirm the same email address and it's happy, for now. I hope it's not a regular thing.

We all don't live in the perfect universe,,,,,, NOT YET,,,
the 100010111100010001110001010001110100001010110 way of sending information can get a glitch if just one of those 1's or zero's gets zapped by something unexpected.
Often times,, when peeps write an Email address, they accidentally place a space between somewhere. Not easily seen, but will not work as an Email direction.
Here is what I'm talking about. Just an Example of course.
[email protected] ......... Will work
Run [email protected] ......... Wont work

Also using a comma, instead of a period will also make it not workable.

The email was working. Just out of the blue it stopped. (I never leave spaces or commas).
It doesn't really matter, it asked me to confirm my email (which was the same) and I did. I'm getting emails again. Just weird that's all.
