Slowly but surely my rat snake Ziggy seems to be calming down. Having to take things very slowly with her. Last night I just sat with my hand in her tank for like 15 minutes, touched her lightly as she would crawl by, etc. She is getting SO BIG holy cow. I'm used to noodly corn snakes, it's kinda a shock to see how solid this girl is! Already ready to bump up to fuzzies, I think!

Earlier this month at work, we watched a yellow-bellied slider walk aaall the way up from the creek, across the parking lot, lug herself over the curb (instead of using the wheelchair ramp five feet away :p), tootle across a mulched area, and start digging herself a nest. This would have been a very bad area to leave eggs, so we spent a few minutes running around making a warning sign to hopefully keep people away until we could rig an incubator, but when we got out there to put the sign up...PSYCH! She decided that was a bad place after all and was already heading off to her next attempt.

I was kinda disappointed we wouldn't be able to hatch-and-release turtles :p

Happy late birthday to my baby Flower!!! Yesterday May 25 Flower turned ten years old!! (Thought she was 9 but turns out I messed up on math and she was born in 2014 not 15 idk why I thought that). But she is ten years old and still nice and spunky, she has been a wonderful gecko for so many years I’m super happy she is still going strong!!!
