Is this a broken wing?

Hello,
My 4 y/o BO hen has been acting slow, and in pain lately. Her wing seems very drooped and I'm wondering if its broken. If it is, how should I go about healing it?

You'll have to pick her up and inspect her.

Gently unfold the wing checking for any breaks, bruises, abrasions, etc. Do look underneath at the skin and along her body too.

Sometimes if it's just injury/sprain, a hen will keep it low where she's most comfortable and as she heals, she'll bring it back into place herself - but you will have to determine if it's sprained/bruised or broken, we can't tell.

If you do find it's broken, seeking vet care is best.
