Caponizing Tools and Process.. A Complete Story

Outstanding! I am trying caponizing for the first time this year. So far, I have lost one which I think now may have been a hen. The other two are doing just fine. I really appreciate your attention to the tools. So far I have three incomplete kits and no tweezers in any of them. Its hard to find a good list of the tools needed. Thanks.

Thank you! I noticed it seems there is no "right" set, people tend to use what tools works for them. For me, the curved tweezers are easiest to handle and get the whole "bean" in one shot, and are less risky to the other organs. I'd recommend you continue to try various techniques and see what works best for you ☺️ good luck, and don't give up! It's a rewarding experience to bring back a lost art.
Great article!
Wow! What an article! Full of information and precise pictures. Right now, the idea kind of gives me the creeps, but so did harvesting my first chicken - and I got over that real quick. Great job!
This info is great! I plan on caponizing any baby roos I have in the future. Thank you for writing this😄🙏
Absolutely horrific and cruel practice of cutting into animals without anesthesia is banned in the UK and should be banned in the US. Shame on you! No meat is worth doing this to a living creature.

Thank you for voicing your opinion. To each their own 😊
Highly informative.

I don't know if I ever will want to do caponizing, but this information would set me well on my way if I were to do so.
