Ingredients:


8 asian or barlett pears, cored and split in half
1 (8-oz.) c. brandy
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tbsp cloves
1 c. orange juice

Cooking Instructions


Preheat oven to 300°. Spray a large glass rectangular baking dish with non-stick spray. In a large mixing bowl, mix brandy, water, honey, orange juice, ginger and cinnamon. Place pear halves face down in dish, stick several whole cloves into the pears and cover with spiced liquid. Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Serve hot alone or with vanilla ice cream.
