History: Ash was born in the garden in the property of Keepers. Her mother raised her exclusively in the greenery, never taking her inside the coop. Ash grew up as a semi-wild chicken, being she never once came in contact with Keepers. Her father was a true domestic, but he came to visit her mother and her daily in their sanctuary of vegetation. Dark came one day and warned them that Red-Kings were invading and destroying flocks. Fern pleaded with her mate to flee with them early, but in the end, Dark sacrificed himself protecting his flock. Heartbroken over the loss of heroic and beloved father, Ash raced for the woods with, she thought, her mother in pursuit. Turning back, Ash found that a Red-Shoulder had accidentally stepped on Fern and broken her leg. Terrified, the young pullet raced back and dragged her immobile mother to the steadily-increasing mass of fleeing chickens. The innumerable amount of birds terrified Ash even more and sent her reclusiveness off accelerating. When Vaast Flock began to form, Ash attempted to set aside all of the horrible past memories, but had little success doing so. Her dreams were haunted by fires, Keepers, and death. Ash's hardship was complete when her lame mother was snatched by a hawk. When the flocks split, Ash meekly followed a young cockerel from her old flock, Hawk, who now was her only remaining friend. She eventually found her knack for healing and graciously took on the role of healer, grateful to have a temporary distraction from her inner turmoil.

She watches her father through regretful and blaming eyes, knowing perfectly well that he could've been fully capable to be a true, steadfast father.

He established himself as a shadow of his former self- no longer was he the brave and kind cock he was as Midnight's mate; now he was an indifferent and gruff Ground-Guard that relied on no one and expected no pity. Not wishing to be reminded of Midnight's fate ever again, he handed his chicks off to a broody and unsuccessfully feigned complete detachment to his chicks-
But, beneath the grief-induced facade, Spruce regrets every time he turned away from his children.

History: Hawk was born in the midst of another massive commercial flock, having never formally met his parents- only told their names. When the flock scattered, so did Hawk, but he never even saw the Red-Wings that opposed them. Instead of immediately joining the freed flocks, he met up with a few young escapee pullets and cockerels; they all became fast friends, planning on starting a flock of their own. Upon conversing closely with a certain blue pullet, Hawk was able to derive enough information to go find his parents. The young group of chickens, now down to four after losing two of their comrades to a preying Hawk, loyally trekked after Hawk. Hawk did eventually find his parents, but his father was already dying- pinned beneath a fallen board. Hawk got to say his greetings and goodbyes at the same time to the father he never knew. Taking his grief-stricken mother in tow, Hawk lead the way to Sodra Flock. Sadly, three more of his friends were taken by unknown night predators along the way, leaving Hawk, his best friend Ash, and his mother Fawn to commence their journey at Sodra Flock. Fawn died a few moths later due to overexhertion and a broken heart. Hawk, now deeply saddened, turned to the only ally he had left and became Ash's best friend.

History: Ash was born in the garden in the property of Keepers. Her mother raised her exclusively in the greenery, never taking her inside the coop. Ash grew up as a semi-wild chicken, being she never once came in contact with Keepers. Her father was a true domestic, but he came to visit her mother and her daily in their sanctuary of vegetation. Dark came one day and warned them that Red-Kings were invading and destroying flocks. Fern pleaded with her mate to flee with them early, but in the end, Dark sacrificed himself protecting his flock. Heartbroken over the loss of heroic and beloved father, Ash raced for the woods with, she thought, her mother in pursuit. Turning back, Ash found that a Red-Shoulder had accidentally stepped on Fern and broken her leg. Terrified, the young pullet raced back and dragged her immobile mother to the steadily-increasing mass of fleeing chickens. The innumerable amount of birds terrified Ash even more and sent her reclusiveness off accelerating. When Vaast Flock began to form, Ash attempted to set aside all of the horrible past memories, but had little success doing so. Her dreams were haunted by fires, Keepers, and death. Ash's hardship was complete when her lame mother was snatched by a hawk. When the flocks split, Ash meekly followed a young cockerel from her old flock, Hawk, who now was her only remaining friend. She eventually found her knack for healing and graciously took on the role of healer, grateful to have a temporary distraction from her inner turmoil.

The young group of chickens, now down to four after losing two of their comrades to a preying Hawk, loyally trekked after Hawk. Hawk did eventually find his parents, but his father was already dying- pinned beneath a fallen board. Hawk got to say his greetings and goodbyes at the same time to the father he never knew. Taking his grief-stricken mother in tow, Hawk lead the way to Sodra Flock. Sadly, three more of his friends were taken by unknown night predators along the way, leaving Hawk, his best friend Ash, and his mother Fawn to commence their journey at Sodra Flock. Fawn died a few moths later due to overexhertion and a broken heart. Hawk, now deeply saddened, turned to the only ally he had left and became Ash's best friend.

breed/description Well, kind of hard to explain. He is a mixed breed. One Parent had Austolorp and delaware in him, the other was a Buff orpington. His tail is eridecent green, orange body, black tipped wings with a white border around the black. white down shows in between his tail and saddle feathers. He is almost all black on the left side of his face, the pattern not going past the wattles. He has brown eyes and grey austrolorp feet. His beak is grey too. stray white feathers on chest and one in between his wing and leg. Not very tall, a medium size. 6 spikes on his single comb.
