Do you keep quails indoor or outdoor?

I have been keeping them in the garage and taking them outside during the day. Now it is getting warmer and I am thinking leaving them outdoor overnight as well. We built a shelter so they will not be rained on and they will be a few feet above the ground. Just wondering if you guys leave them indoor or outdoor.

I Leave mine outside. They have plenty of pine needles and brush to hide in. For some reason mine love to cuddle up in the cinder blocks that I had originally placed under their pen before I built the wire cage around it. I guess it makes them feel safe!!

I leave mine indoors but they are hardy and do well outside of need be .

Either is fine. I keep mine outside because it's less hassle. They can survive a wide range of temperatures.

If I ever kept a few indoors, There would be no males inside!!!

But I have Coturnix.

Be aware that predators love to eat quail so you have to be sure the cage is secure and the are fully protected.
