Someone just asked if I worm my chickens ... haven't as of yet, but we've just had the 3 for 2 years now and the second 3 about a year. We're moving them into a different area of the property, so I'm thinking now would be a good time to worm. Any suggestions on why type of de-wormer would be best in a high desert / dry climate such as mine?

Thanks!

If you don't have a positive indication that the birds have a worm overload....there's no need to worm them, IMO.
You could send off a fecal sample here http://www.midamericaagresearch.net/instructions.php to find out if and what kind of worms they might have. The type of wormer to use would depend on what worms were found in a fecal exam.
I would think that if 'high desert' means an arid climate with freezing cold winters, worms might not be as much of a problem in your area as they are in wetter, warmer climes.
