Training?

Hello, we have new baby chickens (1 month and a half) and we would like to train them to do things are there any tricks or stuff we should really try to do? Or if we want them to come home at night what can we do to train them?

If your chicks have been in their coop/run for more than a week, they'll go back in at night. They are creatures of habit and prefer to sleep in the same place every night. As far as training them to do tricks, I can't help you there as my chickens are not pets.

I might be able to help as a few are kept as either pets or teaching tools where they need to do a few simple tasks that help me with the job. Even broody hens and stags not regarded as pets are trained to faclitate moving them about between pens or being assessed.
