How long does broody hen stay fertile?

Hi everybody!

Our 7 month old Brahma was laying eggs almost every day. She started showing signs of broodiness, but since it's getting colder we tried not to let her sit on the eggs. She thought otherwise and persisted.
It just happened that at the same time we sold our rooster.
After that she laid only one egg and is sitting on it and other eggs we added from other hens.
We really wanted to have few chicks of hers and that rooster so we could have one pullet of this cross.
She's been sitting on the eggs for 6 days already.

Will her eggs still be fertile when she starts laying again after hatching this batch?

If we put the eggs she is sitting on in the incubator, we are afraid she will continue being broody and won't lay new eggs until we let her hatch some chicks.

Thank you very much!

I believe that the period from last insemination to infertility is about 3 weeks, so assuming she sits full term and then cares for the chicks (probably for around 6 weeks or so thereafter, but not necessarily) when she does resume laying, her eggs will not be fertile.

Thank you very much for your responses!
We just thought that since the hen is able to retain sperm in the pouch and while being broody not using any of it, the sperm might still fertilize eggs when she starts laying again.
So, looks like it's all about sperm viability...
