In regards to this, I'm a first time hatcher (haven't set any yet) but planning on just leaving the eggs laying on their sides (as nature would have it). Is there a reason for standing the eggs up on end? Better hatch rate or something?

No turner. Just on some hardware cloth. I *can* put them in egg cartons with pointy end down, but I wonder what the logic is...

i set mine on there side because some eggs hatch upside down and its hard for them to hatch when u have them i a carton
