Nope
My favorite is the 1984 publishing by Scandinavia Publishing House of the Hans Christian Anderson tale, "It's Absolutely True!" The story itself will always be classic, but the illustrations by Francois Crozat are absolutely fabulous! If any of you have this book, you'll know what I'm talking about. There's one illustration in particular that I adore . . . several naked hens standing together in a pile of feathers, with one chicken staring at her plucked tail with a classic "what's that?" look that I see in so many chicken's eyes. It's too bad it's out of print, because the newer versions simply do not compare.
So anyone else or their children have a particular favorite?

I plan on writing a few some day. I'll let you know!!

Enough bedtime stories for me--I better go to bed!

There are literally hundreds of chicken picture books for kids and even several chapter books. I am a children's librarian and so have seen many. Some of my favorite are by Janet Stoeke. She has a whole series about a hen named Minerva Louise. Also there are funny ones by Mary Auch with a series about hifalutin' artistic chickens.

The numbers have to do with how many copies are in the library and the whole state system. When I started copying an pasting I could not get them out.

That should give you plenty to work on.

I was also going to mention Jan Brett. My kids enjoy Hedgie's Surprise and Daisy Comes Home. In the back of Daisy Comes Home it mentions that Jan Brett owns several hens which of course she uses for inspiration
