We bought two batches of bantams a week apart. We have them in separate brooders but want to put them together as they all will be in the coop together. Is there a problem introducing chicks together from different batches? Thanks!

Personally, I combine chicks of different ages all the time. The only time I ever had a problem was when I had some very small chicks in a playpen with a couple older chicks (by a few weeks) and there was a bit of bullying. I solved the problem by making a cardboard barrier with a small chick sized door. That way the little ones could run and hide. After a week or so I was able to take the barrier out and have total peace in the brooder.

Oh, right now I have two in the brooder who seem to be about 2 weeks apart and they are doing just fine. They started snuggling together the first night we had them home.
