one egg per hen per 24 hour period is normal but it depends on the weather and light as well as the birds health.

Depends entirely on what type of quail. Coturnix--> 1 egg a day per hen but because mine are molting production is way down.

Most new world quail are not currently laying at all unless under artificial lighting.

wanted to know cuz my 7 hens give me 2-3 eggs (and this is all of them together) in two days and take like 4-5 week breaks which confuses me.

How old are they? are you giving them oyster shell? Are there lights that stay on during night anywhere around the pen?

idc the exact age but around 3.5 - 4.5 months I think that I have had them. I got them when they were 7-8 weeks old. I give them eggshells. Nope just normal light.
