Lavender Araucana hen crossed with a Welsummer rooster. Does anyone know if this is a good mix? What colour eggs would their offspring produce? How many eggs? What kind of plumage/temperament? And how much could I ask for for each chick? Anyone who's done this cross before, your input would be much appreciated :)

You will get olive egger pullets with this cross. They may or may not have tails. The price you can get will depend on your location. Around here, maybe $2 per chick straight run. How well they will lay is hard to guess. If the parents are from good laying stock, the pullets should fo OK.

In answer to your questions, an pure Araucana hen X a Welsummer rooster will produce an Easter Egger known as an Olive Egger due to the olive green eggs it lays. Most Easter Eggers typically lay 3-4 eggs per hen per week, so it is reasonable to assume that's what yours will lay as well. The plumage of your Olive Eggers could be variable, and they are likely to be docile, tolerating being handled, but not really liking it. Meyer hatchery sells its Olive Egger chicks for about $6.00 to $10.00 per chick (depending on the chick's gender), so the asking price for your chicks would likely have to be somewhere in the same ball park.
