I've posted a pic. of these 7 week old 'beauties' under the Naked Neck Thread, but thought some of you might miss these little fellas that way, and they are a bit unusual.

At 7 weeks they are HUGE and much bigger than the parent birds were at this stage.

The little guy at the front has 'cowls' developing around his eyes, all have bright green eyes and a mask-like pattern on the face.

They are very friendly and have ridiculously large appetites.

Just what will they look like as adults?

Wifezilla...you may have it! they do look like some odd prehistoric raptors.

ChickInDelight......they may grow into beautiful somethings....but will they be recognisable as chickens? Or maybe they will just grow in huge ugly THINGS.....I won't mind as I quite like the 'pretty in their mum's eyes type.....maybe just as well!

Something has been happening to me of late. Something odd! I am liking the look of those ... birds..... plus I noticed in the past week or so, my friend's silkie chicks have turned cute.

I really only like chicken-shaped chickens, and was surprised when I decided midget chickens were good to have in my flock, too. But they are at least chickens.

But what is it with these other birds? I am liking them. What has happened to me?

GREAT photos, by the way.

The local buzzards might pop in for romance when they see them cute yard buzzards.
