We took an old trellis from another part of the property and moved it over the rear coop door to prevent the chicken wire from hitting the door when it was opened. You can also see a metal pipe that was placed over the center of the run to help hold up the chicken wire there.

Here is storage area. It is on the west wall. We used chicken wire and a chicken wire covered framed door to keep the girls out. The hubby built a table at the far end and I am able to keep food and medical supplies in here with no fear of the girls getting it. I am also able to keep a chair in the storage section that I bring out to the coop to hang out with the girls but also keep it from them roosting on when I am not in there.

Here we have an old kids sand box that will soon have landscaping sand and DE for dust bathing. The entire run is dirt right now but over time will have some other stuff happening. I have already planted mint across the back fence on the outside of the run. I want to get some other things happening in here like a chicken salad bar.

The hubby did all of the work inside. On our East wall we have the chicken hospital to the right, feeder and water center and brood boxes to the left nearest the entrance door. The poop board is over all of this and the finished product has a couple of roost bars over it.

The rear (South facing) wall and door are up and functional.

Front (North facing) door is up and on and there is a cute little overhand to protect from rain.

Here is a view from what will be the run. The west wall is on and and soon the rear South facing wall will be up.
