Nest boxes are lined with shallow plastic boxes for easy cleanup.Dh[ bless his cotton socks!]measured how tall the chickens were and made the entrance hole the same height.Will make some curtains to cover up some of entrance.

Digging a trench and burying wire mesh.We are lucky enough to be essentially predator free in NZ. In the suburbs any way.the only thing I worry about is Mr Rat! We live near to reclaimed sports grounds with drainage ditches running alongside as well as mangroves.Both ideal places for rats to make a home.

Thanks Wendy.They certainly are spoilt Lol.It gives me great pleasure ''titivating'' and planting to make coop look part of back yard.Haven't had chooks since I was 10.Making up for it!
